The Range
Below is a basic layout of how a bell target range setup looks, this is to give venues an idea of the room required etc. You can download or print this using the buttons in the top right, Instructions are below.

​ Measurements

The centre of the target plate should be 1524mm or 5FT from the floor.

The face of the target plate should be 5485mm or 18FT (6 Yards) from the side of the table where the shooter will stand.

You need around 1500mm or 5FT approximately behind the table for shooters to move around and approach the shooting position.

Overall you need around 7.5m or 24FT in length for your range to be workable.

The width required varies depending how many targets you want to run, the minimum is around 2m.

Safety

The sides and back of the range should not be open or accessible.

The Ballistic curtain should ideally be in front of the metal target stands.

For people using speaker stands in front of the ballistic curtain the uprights MUST be covered with pipe lagging.

No one is allowed past the shooting table while the range is in use.

Only your RCO or a competent person instructed by your RCO should enter the range to reset the targets.

All guns must be on the table, unloaded and untouched whilst anyone is down range.

Anyone using magazine fed guns must remove the magazine from the gun when they have finished shooting.

Any shooter who has already loaded prior to a target needing resetting must take their shot before the targets are reset.
